The Marvel Characters Gender Swapped in Cinematic Universe

The 21st-century Marvel cinematic universe is the biggest Superhero universe. People love Marvel cinematic universe characters so much that their characters become a part of daily life. The Marvel cinematic universe started with the first Iron Man movie and then after The Incredible Hulk movie Disney bought Marvel. After that happened movies and characters are coming like a never ending circle for Marvel cinematic universe. Marvel characters become a part of people’s lives. But some people do not know that some of those characters are gender swapped in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.


The Characters Gender Swapped Before Male Version Existed in Marvel Cinematic Universe

There are some characters people know in the Marvel cinematic universe as female characters. But those characters are male in the Marvel Comics. Marvel introduced them after changing their genders in the Marvel cinematic universe. So people do not know that they were actually male characters in comics. Here are some of those gender swapped characters in the Marvel cinematic universe.

Ancient One was first introduced in the Marvel cinematic universe by the first Doctor Strange movie. She was the mentor of Doctor Stephen Strange in the movie. She was a Celtic woman as the sorcerer supreme in the Marvel cinematic universe. But in the Marvel Comics the Ancient One was a Tibetan man who protected the world from dark dimension forces in the land of Kamar-Taj.

The character Ghost was first introduced in the Marvel cinematic universe by the movie Ant-Man And The Wasp. She was in an explosion of quantum energy. Even though she survived that, she had side effects that caused her body to become imbalanced. She had to have a suit to control her powers. But in the comics Ghost was an unnamed male who created a suit that allowed himself or any object he touched to be invisible or intangible. In some universes of Marvel Ghost is also an inhuman being.

Ajak was first introduced in the Marvel cinematic universe by the movie Eternals. Ajak was an original Prime Eternal woman in the cinematic universe and she was the leader of the Eternals who were sent by Arishem to investigate the Earth. But in the comics Ajak was a man who was chosen as the representative of the Mayan Gods. He also helped Hercules and the God Squad defeat the Skrull Empire.

The character Taskmaster was first introduced in the Black Widow movie. In the Marvel cinematic universe Taskmaster is the daughter of General Dreykov. Who placed a chip inside her for taking full control of her body and mind. Becoming Taskmaster she can copy the fighting styles of anyone she observes. But Taskmaster is male in the Marvel Comics. In the comics Taskmaster has tons of various skills and assets from different characters of Marvel.

Mar-vell was first introduced in the Marvel cinematic universe by the Captain Marvel movie. In the Captain Marvel movie Mar-vell appears as elderly woman scientist called Dr. Wendy Lawson who rejected the Kree‘s war with the Skrulls. But Mar-vell was a man in the Marvel Comics. His name was Walter Lawson and he was the first Captain Marvel of Marvel Comics.

Dar-Benn from the comics was a member of the intergalactic Kree Empire who actually had nothing to do with Captain Marvel.

In the cinematic universe she is the Flag-Smasher. But in the comics Flag-Smasher is a dangerous man called Karl Morgenthau.

The character Jeri Hogarth was first introduced in the Marvel cinematic universe by Iron Fist Tv Show. Jeri Hogarth is Jeryn Hogarth in the Marvel Comics. Jeri Hogarth the lawyer of Heroes in so many Marvel Tv shows. She was in Iron Fist, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones, Luke Cage. But Jeri Hogarth is Jeryn Hogarth in the Marvel Comics. Jeryn Hogarth was a man who was a friend of Iron Fist’s father. In the comics Jeryn Hogarth is not that much of a badass as Jeri Hogarth is  in the Marvel cinematic universe.
