The Boys was written by Garth Ennis. Darick Robertson was the one who designed, illustrated and co-created it. The Boys is an adult superhero comic book series of the 21st century. The Boys premiered for the first time as a tv series on July 26, 2019 in Amazon Prime Video by Sony Pictures Television. In the story there was a defense contractor company called Vought-American and they are the owners of The Seven which is the biggest superhero team in the world.
In a way you can clearly see that The Seven was actually inspired by the Justice League of DC. Justice League is also a superhero organization from the DC Universe. The characters from The Seven in comics were idolized by Justice League.
Homelander (The Boys) – Superman (DC)
The people who watched The Boys surely know Homelander. He is the team leader of The Seven. He is the most powerful being on the planet. A superhero who almost praised like a living God. He has superhuman strength. He can fly and shoot lasers from his eyes. His costume is in blue and red. He also wears a cape too. Very similar to someone who’s from DC called Superman. Although Superman is much more powerful than Homelander, there’s a clear reference of Superman over Homelander. Homelander is a weak Superman with a psychopath mind.
Queen Maeve (The Boys) – Wonder Woman (DC)
Queen Maeve is also an inspired character. She wears metallic stylized armor as her superhero costume. She also uses a sword and she has superhuman strength. She can jump from great heights and survive in extreme temperatures. Her skin can take more damage than any normal human skin. She’s a powerful woman. She was inspired by Wonder Woman from DC Comics. All though Wonder Woman is far stronger than Queen Maeve but it is clear that she is a copy of her.
A-Train (The Boys) – Flash (DC)
A-Train is also a member of The Seven. His powers are very much about speed. He is a fast guy. He can do things fast. He can run much faster than any other normal human. He is a speedster. He is inspired by the superhero who was the first speedster of our world, The Flash. Flash is way faster than A-Train that’s for sure. So A-Train is a slower version of Flash.
The Deep (The Boys) – Aquaman (DC)
The Deep is the water guy in The Seven. He can live in the water. He can talk and control any kind of water creature. He is a powerful being in the sea. He also has more physical strength than normal human beings. He was totally inspired by Aquaman from DC. Although Aquaman is very much stronger than The Deep. So he is a small and weak version of Aquaman.
Black Noir (The Boys) – Batman (DC)
Black Noir has superhuman strength. He is faster than a normal human being. His reflexes are fast too. He has healing abilities. He is the most silent character from The Seven. He always keeps his mouth quiet and tries to get the job done. He’s more like the character Batman from the DC Universe. Although Batman has no superpowers, his silent personality matches with Black Noir. Even his custom design and color are also the same except Batman has a cape.
Starlight (The Boys) – Stargirl (DC)
Starlight is one of the most famous characters from The Boys. Her powers are actually based on electricity. She first fed the electricity into her body then she got charged. Electricity is her source of power. The more electricity she gets the more powerful she becomes. She can hit anyone with electric waves. She can even make an electric blast in an area. She was inspired by the character called Stargirl from DC Comics. Although Stargirl has a cosmic staff that enables her powers. Starlight does not need anything to use her powers but still she was inspired by Stargirl.
Jack from Jupiter (The Boys) – Martian Manhunter (DC)
In the TV show, Translucent was a member of The Seven. But in the comics there was no Translucent because there was another guy called Jack from Jupiter in The Seven. In the TV show, they changed Jack from Jupiter with Translucent. Jack from Jupiter has superhuman strength. He is fast and he can fly too. He has great control over his speed. He can easily stop while running or flying instantly. He is inspired by Martian Manhunter from DC Comics. Martian Manhunter is an alien from Mars. He is fast and he can fly too. He has superhuman strength too. Although he has telepathy powers and he can shapeshift too. Martian Manhunter is very much stronger than Jack from Jupiter. But Jack from Jupiter is inspired by him.
